Light Meter: Lux & Exposure · iOS
Effective date: October 13, 2026

Privacy Policy

Light Meter: Lux & Exposure does not collect, store on any server, or share any personal data. This page explains what the app does on your device.

Camera

The app uses the camera as a light sensor. Frames are analysed in real time on your device to compute exposure and illuminance and are discarded immediately. No photo or video is recorded, saved or uploaded, and no image ever leaves your phone. You can revoke camera access at any time in iOS Settings; the app then cannot meter, but Settings and your saved readings remain available.

No network access

The app makes no network requests of its own. It does not contact the developer's servers, because there are none. The only network activity is Apple's own App Store purchase and restore flow.

Purchases

"Light Meter Pro" is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple. The developer never sees your name, payment details or Apple Account. The app only receives from Apple an anonymous confirmation that Pro is unlocked, which is stored by Apple and verified on your device.

Data stored on your device

Your cameras and films, saved readings, calibration correction, and preferences (units, step size, metering mode) are stored only on your phone, in the app's own storage. If you export readings as CSV, the file goes only to the destination you choose in the share sheet. Deleting the app deletes all of this data.

What we do not do

Your rights

Since the developer holds no personal data about you, there is nothing to access, correct or delete on our side. Everything is under your control on your device: delete readings in the app, or delete the app to remove all of its data.

Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices ever change, this page will be updated with a new effective date before the change takes effect.
