Light Meter: Lux & Exposure · iOS
Effective date: October 13, 2026

Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the iOS app Light Meter: Lux & Exposure (the "App"), developed by Tigran Barseghyan (the "Developer"). By using the App you agree to them.

1. License

The Developer grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with Apple's App Store terms.

2. Accuracy disclaimer

The App estimates exposure and illuminance using the phone's camera. Readings are estimates and may be affected by the device model, lens, scene, light source, flicker and calibration. They are provided for photographic and general informational use. Do not rely on the App where a wrong reading could cause harm, loss or legal consequences: workplace lighting compliance, safety or emergency lighting certification, medical or horticultural decisions that require certified instruments, or any legal or contractual measurement. For those, use a calibrated instrument.

3. Pro (one-time purchase)

"Light Meter Pro" is an optional one-time in-app purchase that unlocks additional features. It is not a subscription and does not renew. Payment, receipts, refunds and restoring the purchase are handled by Apple under the App Store terms. The Developer cannot issue refunds directly.

4. Acceptable use

You may not reverse engineer, decompile or modify the App, use it in violation of any law, or present its readings as certified measurements.

5. Intellectual property

The App, its design, code and content are owned by the Developer and protected by applicable law. Film reciprocity data is derived from publicly available manufacturer information and remains the property of its respective owners.

6. Third-party services

Apple processes all purchases. The App itself uses no other third-party services and makes no network requests.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted operation.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including wasted film, lost images or data, arising from use of the App. The Developer's total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Termination

These Terms remain in effect until terminated. Your rights end automatically if you breach them. You may terminate at any time by deleting the App.

10. Apple

These Terms are between you and the Developer, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content and has no obligation to provide support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.

11. Changes

The Developer may update these Terms. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Developer's country of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence still applies where applicable.
