BinoZoom GPS

Privacy Policy — BinoZoom GPS

Effective date: October 14, 2026

BinoZoom GPS (“the App”) is developed by Tigran Barseghyan (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the App handles and how. The short version: your photos and location stay on your iPhone. We do not operate any server that receives data about you. The only third party that receives any data is Google’s advertising SDK, and only to show ads, with your consent where required.

1. Camera

The App uses the camera to show the zoom viewfinder and to take photos. Camera frames are processed entirely on your device. They are never transmitted off your device by the App.

2. Location, compass and motion

The App requests “While Using the App” location access to:

The compass and motion sensors provide heading, tilt and the zoom stabiliser. All of this is processed on your device only. Your location is never uploaded, never shared with us, and never used for advertising. If you deny location access, the App still works as a zoom camera; the HUD shows “No fix” and photos are saved without coordinates.

3. Photos and metadata

Photos you take are saved in the App’s own archive on your iPhone, together with the coordinates, altitude, heading, zoom level, filter and note of each shot. When the GPS Stamp toggle is on, this information is also drawn onto the image. The App writes location and heading into the photo’s EXIF metadata, as the iPhone Camera app does.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version shows interstitial ads through Google AdMob. To do this, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and send to Google:

We do not receive or store any of this data ourselves. Google’s use of it is described in Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Consent. In regions where it is required (for example the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), the App shows Google’s consent form before any ad is requested, and you can change your choice at any time in Controls (•••) → Ad Privacy Choices. Tracking permission can be changed in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. If you decline, you may still see ads, but they will be non-personalised.

Remove Ads. After the one-time Remove Ads purchase, the App no longer loads the ads SDK for ad requests and the data flow described above stops.

5. Purchases

The App offers a one-time, non-consumable “Remove Ads” purchase. Payments are processed entirely by Apple through your Apple Account. We never receive or store your name, payment card details, billing address or Apple ID. The App only receives an anonymous confirmation from Apple that the purchase is active on the device. Apple’s handling of your purchase data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

6. Data stored on your device

Besides the photo archive, the App stores only non-personal preferences locally: filter, reticle, grid, stamp and stabiliser settings, your target tag, the ad-frequency counters and the Remove Ads status. This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you delete the App.

7. What we do NOT do

8. Your rights

Because we do not hold any personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete. Local data can be removed at any time by deleting the App. For data held by Google in connection with advertising, use Google’s Ads Settings and the rights described in Google’s Privacy Policy. Camera, location, Photos and tracking permissions can be revoked in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.

9. Changes to this policy

If the App’s data practices ever change, we will update this policy and the effective date above before the change takes effect.
