In short

The developer does not collect your name, email or any other personal data, has no servers of its own, and has no accounts to sign up for. Your games, statistics and coins stay on your device and in your own iCloud account.

The free game is paid for by ads. Ads are served by Google AdMob, and Google collects some data to deliver them, as described below. The app also uses Google Analytics for Firebase to count, anonymously, how the app is used, so it can be improved. Everything in this policy that leaves your device goes to Apple or to Google. The developer sees only anonymous, aggregated usage statistics, never anything that identifies you.

Ads (Google AdMob)

Ads share the most data with a third party, so they come first.

When an ad is requested, the Google Mobile Ads SDK built into the app collects and sends to Google:

Google uses this to show ads, to limit how often you see the same ad, to measure ads and to prevent fraud. If you allow tracking, ads may also be personalized to your interests. Google’s use of this data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Your choices

Ads never appear while you play and are never shown on top of a puzzle.

iCloud

If you are signed in to iCloud, the app keeps your progress in your own private iCloud database, so it survives a reinstall and moves to your other devices:

This data is stored by Apple under your Apple Account and is governed by Apple’s privacy policy. The developer cannot see, read or access it. If you turn iCloud off for Lemma, the same data stays only on your device.

Purchases

Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through your Apple Account. The developer never receives your name, email or payment details. The app asks Apple which purchases you own; Apple’s answer contains no personal information.

Notifications

The app can remind you about the daily puzzle once a day. It is off until you turn it on, and the reminder is scheduled on your device; nothing is sent to any server to deliver it.

What is stored on your device

All of it is deleted when you delete the app, apart from the copy in your iCloud account, which you can delete in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.

Analytics

The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase, provided by Google, to understand how the app is used: which puzzle types are played, how coins are earned and spent, when the Store is opened, whether purchases and ads complete. This shows the developer what to improve and which features matter.

Firebase collects:

The developer sees this only as anonymous, aggregated statistics in the Firebase console. It is not used to identify you, is not combined with other data about you, and is not sold. Google processes it under Google’s Privacy Policy and the Firebase privacy information. Firebase keeps this data for a limited period, after which it is deleted.

The app does not use a crash reporting service.

What the app does not do

No accounts. No sale of personal data. No collection of your name, email, contacts, photos or precise location. No cookies. Nothing the developer receives identifies you.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal data from children. Ads in the app are not personalized for users who do not allow tracking.

Your rights

The developer holds no data that identifies you, so there is nothing to access, correct or delete on the developer’s side. The anonymous analytics described above are kept by Google and deleted after Firebase’s retention period.

You stay in control on your device: change tracking in iOS Settings, change ad consent in the app’s Settings, delete your iCloud data as described above, or delete the app. For data Google holds about you in connection with ads, see Google’s privacy controls and Google’s Privacy Policy.

If you live in the EU, the UK or another region with data protection law, you also have the rights that law gives you, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it and the updated version appears at this address. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
