Terms of Use — GPS Test Satellite Tracker

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the GPS Test Satellite Tracker app (“the App”), developed by Tigran Barseghyan (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions.

2. Important accuracy disclaimer — not for navigation

The App is provided for informational and educational purposes only.

• Satellite positions shown on the radar, list, and detail screens are predictions calculated from publicly available orbital data (TLE) using the SGP4 model. They are estimates and may be outdated, incomplete, or inaccurate.
• The “in use” / “in view” GNSS satellite classification and per-satellite signal indication are estimates derived from satellite elevation. iOS does not expose the device receiver’s actual satellite list or signal measurements to apps.
• Your position, altitude, speed, and accuracy values are provided by iOS (Core Location) and are subject to its limitations.

Do not use the App for navigation, aviation, marine, surveying, emergency, safety-of-life, or any other purpose where errors could lead to damage, injury, or loss.

3. Subscriptions (“Pro”)

• The App offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions (monthly or annual) that unlock Pro features (full satellite detail with live orbit and telemetry, the live GNSS satellite list, extended radar zoom, and sharing).
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Prices are shown in the App before purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or through the App Store. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
• If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Purchases can be restored with the “Restore Purchases” button in the App.
• Refunds are handled exclusively by Apple under App Store policies; we cannot issue refunds directly.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App except as permitted by law; use the App in violation of any applicable law; interfere with the third-party data services the App relies on; or misrepresent data produced by the App as an official or certified source.

5. Intellectual property

The App, including its design, code, and content, is owned by us and protected by copyright and other laws. Satellite orbital data (TLE) is public information obtained from third-party sources; we make no claim of ownership over it and do not guarantee its availability or accuracy.

6. Third-party services

The App retrieves satellite catalog data from third-party services (currently tle.ivanstanojevic.me). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of third-party services. Purchases are processed by Apple under Apple’s terms.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that satellite data will be current or correct.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

These Terms are effective until terminated. Your rights under these Terms end automatically if you fail to comply with them. Upon termination you must stop using the App.

10. Apple

These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the App. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, and is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms with the right to enforce them against you.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version, with its effective date, will always be available at this page. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country of the developer’s residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence applies.
